‘Kan Pamenar’ grabs award at Patriki filmfest

Iranian feature ‘Kan Pamenar’ has grabbed an award at the Patriki Film Festival in Russia.

Directed and produced by Ashkan Darvishi, the film won the special jury award at the 2023 edition of the Russian event.

‘Kan Pamenar’ depicts the plight of labor kids, who live in deprived neighborhoods of the city, while it has an eye on supporting little immigrant Afghan girls.

Siamak Safari, Babak Nouri, Alireza Ostadi, Neda Hosseini, Sirous Hemmati, Mehdi Tarokh and Fariba Kowsari are notable among the cast members of the flick.

The Patriki Film Festival is Russia’s first competitive international online film festival.

The festival will feature premieres of Russian and international films and TV shows. All entries will be available for free online viewing during the entire period of the festival.

The event will include several competitive programs, public talks with artists, directors and producers, and charitable as well as official and social events.
